Park Gang-du is a slow-witted man who sells snacks from a little stand by Seoul's Han River with his father. When a huge creature rises from the water and attacks the riverside park, it carries off his daughter Hyun-seo. After a phone call reveals she is trapped in the sewers, Gang-du and his family escape a government quarantine to search for her.
